North Coast Music Festival (NCMF) brought the heat this year, and we’re here to bring you all the insider details about this epic event. From a stellar lineup to, interactive art installations, outstanding sound production and much more, get ready to dive into the best festival happening on Labor Day weekend in the Midwest!
Epic Lineup at the Main Stages
This year’s festival lineup is nothing short of spectacular, featuring a mix of iconic names and emerging stars in the EDM community. Here’s a taste of some of the performances we all can’t stop raving about:
Isoknock at the Shipyard Stage: Known for their high-octane performances and inventive soundscapes, Isoknock’s set blew us all away. Can we talk about their entrance? This iconic set was played in a shilling container, which was lowered by a crane onto the stage. It was a sight to see!
DJ Diesel at the Stadium Stage: Shaquille O'Neal, better known as DJ Diesel, brings his larger-than-life persona to the Main Stage. His set had the whole crowd going crazy. It was next level. This was most of our group’s first time seeing DJ Diesel live and wow would I recommend and would definitely catch again. His music is heavy, fun, and high-energy. What can’t this man do?!
Subtronics at the Stadium Stage: Subtronics does it yet again, but are we surprised? Every set of his is chef’s kiss! His set was a bass-heavy experience filled with vibrant visuals and an energetic crowd who came ready to party. One thing about Subtronics, you will never leave disappointed!
Tabe B at the Chill Dome: Emerging artist Tabe B threw it down at the Chill Dome. The line to get in to his set wrapped all the way around to the back where the food vendors were! Was his set worth the wait! YES. Yes, it was! His set was a perfect blend of classic OG dubstep and hip-hop remixes.
Chase & Status at the Shipyard Stage: Renowned for their dynamic drum and bass sets, Chase & Status delivered an unforgettable performance accompanied by fireworks and exciting pyrotechnics! Their high-energy beats mixed with an amazing crowd made this one of the best shows of the weekend!
LSZEE at the Vega Stage: Prepare for another dynamic duo that keeps bringing us back for more! A newer collaboration between LSDream and Clozee is one you never want to miss. Between eye catching and mesmerizing visuals to a seamless blend of funky, deep dubstep, their set had us all vibing.
Other Activities and Interactive Experiences

Silent Disco: Need we say more? Check this out at the back of the Vega Stage near a large fallen tree that might blink at you if you stare at it long enough! Check out this interactive experience and many others!
North Coast Yacht Club: a giant boat you can get on parked in the background of the Shipyard Stage. Here you can have cool photo ops, stop at the Beatbox bar for drinks, and see more on the yacht’s elevated eye view of the fest.
Retail Vendors: You can find all your favorite rave vendors from classics to new in the center of the venue near the Firepit Stage and the Vega Stage. There was a good mix of vendors from clothing, to accessories, pashminas, food, even THC (like pre-rolls)! This festival provided a huge array of vendors to check out. Additionally, the food vendors were abundant and you had options like all-American, Korean corn dogs, Island Noodles, Mexican food, sweet treats, stadium concessions, and lemonade stand!
The Chill Dome: A massive, well-ventilated, air-conditioned dome for resting, cooling down, and getting out of the heat. Inside the Dome there is an area called Pillow Mountain and you can vibe out while watching djs play downtempo, chillhop, lofi, and lots more.
Club Coast: A speakeasy in a secret location. A party within the party you could say. Coasties downloaded the app for daily passwords and clues to find the location.
Rainbow Lounge: A re-imagined scaffolding into part art installation, part hammock lounge, designed to take you off your feet and bring people together. And that is what it did indeed! Our group loved lying down in the elevated hammocks. Each hammock could fit about 5 of us and it was so cozy and comfortable!
Final Thoughts
North Coast Music Festival 2024 was the festival’s best year yet! I’ve been going since its humble beginnings in Union Park in Chicago, IL and to see where the festival is at now is insane. I can’t believe the production level it is at now and the lineup it books year after year. With a lineup that features some of the hottest names in the industry and a festival ground filled with immersive art and unique attractions, North Coast proves yet again why it is one of hottest festivals in U.S!
You don’t want to miss out on next year because that will mark the festival’s 15th anniversary and you know they will do something spectacular! Rally your friends, and get ready for North Coast 2025.
