Enchanting Beats: Hocus Pocus Transforms Factory Town for Halloween

Hocus Pocus took place on October 31-November 2 and transformed Factory Town in Miami, FL into a spooky, musical playground. The line up featured some of the best house and techno artists in the industry and offered several haunted attractions and photo ops in addition to the music.

Hocus Pocus featured heavy hitting house and techno artists across four stages. Cypress End was a cute stage on the side with cat decor, Espacio Proximo was another side stage with an entrance made of body parts, The Infinity room was a stage with a large, open area with plenty of room to dance, and The Park was the mainstage. Some of the featured artists included: Eli Brown, Kevin De Vries, Carl Craig, Charlotte De Witte, Jamie Jones, Cassian, Andy Martinez, Nina Kraviz, Luciano, and Artbat. My personal favorite sets of the weekend were Eli Brown and Cassian B2B Kevin De Vries.

While the music was undoubtedly the heart of Hocus Pocus, the immersive elements of the festival were equally important in creating a truly unique and spooky atmosphere. Every corner of the venue was designed to envelop attendees in a surreal world that blurred the lines between music festival and horror experience. Attendees had the option to add on a ticket for the haunted warehouse experience, which was a haunted house located within the venue. Our group chose to do this and it was the perfect way to get a change of pace in between sets and really celebrate the spirit of Halloween. After the haunted warehouse, we wandered into Frank’s lab. Stepping into the doors of the lab felt like we were being teleported into the chaos of a mad scientist’s lab. The lights were flickering and fog machines were going off. There were specimen jars on shelves and an operating table containing skeletons in the center of the room, everything you could imagine you would find in the lab of a mad scientist.

Hocus Pocus was not just a celebration of house and techno music, it was an experience that blended the intensity of underground sounds with the thrills of a haunted Halloween adventure. With a top-tier line up of artists spread across four stages and the addition of spooky attractions, Hocus Pocus showed that the world of electronic music is capable of creating something truly immersive and unforgettable. I’m already counting down until next year.
