Forbidden Kingdom somehow gets crazier every single year, and 2026 was no exception. From the second we stepped onsite, the energy was already unreal. Everywhere you looked there were insane fits, nonstop headbanging, and bass shaking the entire festival grounds all weekend long.
This year, we went onsite with two of our staff reps to cover the festival, capture content, and connect with both artists and fans throughout the weekend. Between running from stage to stage, filming sets, and meeting so many amazing people in the crowd, it was one of those weekends that flew by way too fast.
One of the biggest highlights for us was getting to do artist interviews with Mary Droppinz and Vibrant Illusion. Both interviews were such a fun experience and we loved getting to talk with them about music, touring, upcoming projects, and what playing Forbidden Kingdom meant to them.
Mary Droppinz brought such fun energy all weekend and her set was definitely one of the standouts for us. The crowd showed up READY and the energy at her stage was nonstop from beginning to end.
We also got the chance to interview Vibrant Illusion, whose sound fit the whole Forbidden Kingdom vibe perfectly. Dark, heavy, immersive bass music just hits different at this festival, and their set was such a perfect way to experience that side of FK.
And honestly, the crowd deserves its own shoutout too. Forbidden Kingdom fans really bring the best energy. Whether you were deep in the pit, trading kandi, shuffling through the crowd, or just vibing with your friends, the entire weekend felt like one giant bass family reunion.
The production this year was also insane. The visuals, lasers, fire, and overall kingdom theme made every stage feel massive and immersive. No matter where we ended up during the weekend, there was always something happening that made us stop and go “okay wait… this is actually crazy.”
And just when we thought the weekend couldn’t get any bigger, Forbidden Kingdom dropped a huge announcement for the future — the festival is officially moving to Tinker Field and expanding to three full days. It honestly feels like such a natural next step. The growth over the years has been insane, and after seeing the energy this weekend, a bigger space and an extra day just makes sense. If this year was already that wild, we can only imagine what’s coming next.
Huge thank you to Forbidden Kingdom for having us out once again. We’re so grateful to keep doing what we love and creating these experiences with all of you.Already counting down until next year.
