World Pride Music Festival just took over Washington DC on June 6 and 7, bringing a full weekend of music, love, and celebration to the RFK Festival Grounds. What better way to kick off Pride Month than with a massive global dance party made for the LGBTQ+ community? This was the first-ever festival of its kind here in DC, and it certainly did not disappoint.
Partnering with Insomniac, the festival delivered a full dose of PLUR energy all weekend long! You could dance the day & night away with icons like JLo closing out Day 1 and Troye Sivan shutting down Day 2. Plus, Renee Rapp was the surprise special guest, giving the crowd even more to be excited about.
With four stages across the festival, there was something for everyone. The DreamLand Stage brought out pop royalty like Kim Petras, Paris Hilton, RAYE, Duo: Sofi Tukker, and even a DJ set from our favorite Drag Queen RuPaul. The Planet Pride Stage was a dream for electronic music lovers, featuring Zedd to close out Day 1, Purple Disco Machine to close out day 2, Aluna B2B Coco & Breezy, Dombresky’s Alter Ego Disco Dom, Galantis, and LP Giobbi. Not only did Troye Sivan headline the festival, but he also was a part of an iconic activation better known as CLUB RUSH sponsored by Smirnoff. On Day 2, fans were able to meet Troye face-to-face. Festival go-ers lined up for the opportunity to grab a photo (or two) with him. It’s safe to say that this was a moment attendees were talking about!

If you wanted to support local talent & support acts, the Unity Stage had it covered with sets from Dickerman B2B Miscalculated, Jess King, and Essel. And of course, there is no Pride Month celebration without some drag of course — the Drag District Stage showcased drag queens from all over the world giving unforgettable performances all weekend long. Some of the highlight sets were Kimi The Queen, Derrick Barry, and Minger Spice! Every set regardless of the stage felt like a celebration of identity, music, and unity. Another major highlight of World Pride Music festival had to be the entertainers – everywhere you turned, something was happening. There were dancers typing up the crowd to unexpected flashmobs and even fully choreographed numbers, it felt like you were immersed in the middle of a nonstop show filled with music and dancing. Even in the Drag District, they gave fans their moment to shine on stage, some acts let attendees strut down the runway and give their best dance moves, while the crowd hyped them up like popstars. Fans were clacking, outfits were slaying, and the vibes were immaculate. Oh – and did we mention rainbow pyro? Orange flames turned into full Pride mode with rainbow-colored fire shooting up across the biggest stages when the beat dropped.
The festival was history in the making, and the perfect way to start the month with nothing but love, pride, and good music all around. World pride wants to keep the party going and this time they’re going overseas. Mark your calendars and gather your passports now, because the World Pride Music Festival will be landing in Amsterdam on July 31st through August 1st, 2026. Global pride + global dance floors. Same love and unity, just bigger and in Europe! Hope to see you there:)
