The electronic dance music scene continues to thrive year after year with an increasing number of talented female artists making their mark. In an industry historically dominated by men, 2025 is proving to be a breakthrough year for women pushing boundaries and shaping the future of dance music. Here are five female DJs that should be on your radar.
1. ALLEYCVT
As an up-and-coming female DJ, producer and vocalist, ALLEYCVT, is a force to be reckoned with in the EDM scene. Based in Northern Virginia, ALLEYCVT takes on influences such as Zeds Dead and Subtronics, adding in her own signature vocals and blending them with heavy-hitting bass drops. Her first record, “Back 2 U,” was released in 2021 and gained rapid popularity among bass fans. Currently, ALLEYCVT is working on a debut album release and is about to begin her “Feel It II” spring tour. She already secured a spot on Excision’s Thunderdome roster in February 2025 and will be starting the festival season playing at events such as Beyond Wonderland SoCal, Ultra Music Festival and Elements Festival, to name a few. 2. Azzecca
Chicago–based DJ and producer, Azzecca, has been rising up through the electronic dance music ranks since 2021. She infuses a darker mood into the house and techno scene, creating a unique sound that should be on your radar for 2025. Azzecca’s debut single, “I’ve Been Waiting,” and EP, “Otherside,” both released on Diplo’s label, Higher Ground, and produced over 2M streams in the first 3 months. Azzecca has played alongside acts such as Tale of Us, DJ Tennis, and John Summit, among many more notable artists. Azzecca will continue to turn heads as the 2025 festival season approaches with upcoming events including SXM Festival, CRSSD, and Lightning in a Bottle. 3. CHYL
With support from massive industry names such as Steve Aoki, Habstrakt and Ghastly, CHYL is an artist who is blazing a trail for women within the electronic scene. Based in Los Angeles, CHYL has quickly climbed the ranks of dance music with her fast-paced style of Speed House and bass-heavy beats. Making her first main stage appearance in 2022 at Countdown Festival, she has been on the rise ever since. After graduating from Columbia University with a degree in finance, CHYL decided to attend ICON Collective to pursue a career in dance music. In March 2025, CHYL will be starting her Pretty Race Girl Tour with 12 shows in various cities including Toronto, Portland, and New York, among others. 4. KIA
As a powerhouse in Australia’s underground electronic scene since 2019, KIA is a Melbourne/Naarm-based DJ, producer and founder of labels Animalia and Cirrus. Her music blends experimental and psychedelic sounds, creating an immersive listening experience. KIA created her very own festival called un:send in 2024, taking place in the Australian bush, focusing on intimate sets, local artists and staying true to the spirit of the land. In 2025 KIA will be a part of two different residencies: New York’s Nowadays Club and Berlin’s Climate of Fear. 5. Tatyana Jane
Born in Cameroon and based in France, Tatyana Jane is a producer and DJ redefining the European electronic music scene for women. Inspired by her Cameroonian roots, her sound includes touches of techno, rap and EDM. Jane’s latest EP, Elixyr, was released by record label, N.A.A.F.I., in 2024. She has since played back to back with Skrillex at Berlin’s CTM Festival, as well as performed at the 2024 Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony. Since her debut in 2019, Jane has been breaking barriers and making a name for herself within the industry, undoubtedly securing her status as an artist to watch.
