The countdown is on. RISE Festival 2025 is almost here, and we honestly cannot wait. From October 3–5, the Mojave Desert will transform into something straight out of a dream. This year marks the festival’s 10th anniversary, and they’re pulling out all the stops with music, art, and one of the most beautiful rituals you’ll ever experience at a music festival. Every attendee gets two lanterns to release into the desert night sky, carrying your dreams, your hopes, or maybe even something you’re ready to let go of. Thousands of glowing lights drift upward in unison, and the effect is pure magic. It’s a ceremony, a celebration, and a reminder that we’re all connected under the same sky.
And while the lanterns are the soul of RISE, the lineup is absolutely the heartbeat. Headlining this year are some of our personal favorites: RÜFÜS DU SOL, whose emotional, atmospheric sets always make us feel like we’re floating; Calvin Harris, the king of festival anthems who knows exactly how to ignite a crowd; and John Mayer, who’s bringing his soulful voice and legendary guitar to the desert for a set we know will have us crying under the stars. The supporting acts are just as stacked: Ben Böhmer, LP Giobbi, Disclosure, RY X, Oliver Heldens, Goose, Elderbrook, Patrick Watson, and City of the Sun. Each brings their own flavor, from deep house to indie to ambient grooves, making this lineup a perfect soundtrack for both dancing and deep reflection.
What makes RISE different, though, is that it isn’t just about the music. The desert will be filled with art installations, meditation halos, and spaces designed to ground you in the moment. We can already picture everyone dancing barefoot on the dry lakebed, pausing to wander through glowing sculptures, and then lying back to watch the lanterns rise into the night sky.
