There’s something really special about dancing to house music with the ocean right next to you — and that’s exactly the magic that We Belong Here Miami delivered this year. Even more exciting, this weekend marked the festival’s 5 year anniversary, and you could feel the celebration in the air from the moment you walked in.
Set along the waterfront at Miami Marine Stadium on Virginia Key, the festival perfectly blended sunshine, incredible music, and that laid-back coastal energy that makes Miami feel like its own little world. The entire weekend felt like the ultimate beachside dance party — the kind where you’re dancing in during golden hour and suddenly realize hours have passed without you noticing.
The crowd energy was one of our favorite parts. Everyone felt genuinely excited to be there celebrating five years of a festival that has built such a loyal community. People were lounging by the water, grabbing drinks with friends, and dancing barefoot in the sand while the sun slowly dipped behind the skyline. It felt intimate, stylish, and effortlessly fun.
Musically, the weekend delivered exactly the kind of house and electronic vibes We Belong Here is known for. Each set flowed beautifully into the next, carrying the energy from daytime grooves into glowing nighttime dance floors. It’s the kind of festival where you find yourself discovering new artists while also getting lost in sets from some of your favorites.
One thing that really stood out was how the festival creates space to actually enjoy the experience. Between waterfront views, art installations, and chill areas to hang with friends, it felt balanced — not just nonstop chaos, but a place where you could dance, explore, and soak in the moment.
