Das My Happy Place

Das My Happy Place

Over the past weekend, Das Energi gave music festival enthusiasts the perfect excuse to let loose and dance to some of their favorite music. Between three different stages with just about every genre of music and unforgettable views, Das Energi really was the festival to be at.

The Music

Friday night started out the weekend with a Subcarbon Records takeover at The Temple of Doom stage. Boogie T got a little weird and Ganja White Night swooped in to make things even more weird and wobbly. Meanwhile, SIDEPIECE brought crazy levels of energy to the main stage just before Adventure Club showed up as the surprise guest! Kaskade finished the night out with some groovy house music and fireworks. Day two saw a Dirty Bird records takeover at The Temple of Doom which did not lack in lasers or funky beats. Gene Farris seemed to flow right into Walker & Royce who then seamlessly flowed into Claude VonStroke. Over at the main stage, Jai Wolf and Ekali warmed up the crowd to then get REALLY in their feels with Illenium, who closed out the weekend. All weekend long attendees were able to take a blast to the past and enjoy sets from OG artists inside the Saltair.

The Experience

Apart from amazing display of music, Das Energi also offered a lot of venders, both local and non local. These vendors included everything from clothing and accessory companies, hair braiding, and restaurants. There was definitely something for everyone! However, the one part that is most unique to this festival is the ability to take in spectacular views no matter where you are at. The festival is hosted on desert-like terrain, but offers views of mountains in all directions. During sunset, it feels like all of the Earth around you is glowing.

If you haven’t been to Das Energi yet, you should definitely make it a point to go in the future! Year after year the festival brings in a very diverse line up with a lot of heavy hitters across all genres, as well as an experience that goes beyond the music.
