NYC summer is in full swing, and with no shortage of rooftop parties, open-air venues, and iconic concerts, my calendar is filling up! As much as I love a dark warehouse, there’s just something special about catching your favorite artists under the open sky. Whether it’s skyline views, golden hour sets, or festival energy without leaving the city, these are the outdoor venues every electronic music fan needs on their summer bucket list.
So come along babes – we’ve got a lot of dancing to do!
✨Under the K Bridge
Under the K has quickly become one of my favorite places to see electronic music in New York.
I kicked off my summer there with Chris Lake, and it was easily one of the best shows I’ve experienced all year. The set was incredible, but what really stood out was the energy. Everyone came to dance, the crowd was electric, and for a few hours it genuinely felt like a festival had landed in Brooklyn…under a bridge 😂 It honestly doesn’t get any more New York than that.
Artists like Chris Lake, Tiesto, Sara Landry, Bunt, and Disco Lines have helped cement Under the K as one of the city’s premier dance music destinations.
Why you need to go: Festival vibes in Brooklyn.
✨The Ruins at Knockdown Center
The Ruins might just be one of the coolest outdoor venues in the city.
I’ve already made a couple of trips there this season, catching Sonny Fodera and Enrico Sangiuliano, and every time I’m reminded why I love this place so much. The space feels intimate without being cramped, the crowd always brings great energy, and the open-air setting strikes the perfect balance between underground and festival.
Whether you’re there for house, techno, or one of their legendary Tiki Disco parties, The Ruins always delivers.
Rain in the forecast? Don’t stress. One of the things I also love about The Ruins is that if Mother Nature decides not to cooperate, the party can simply move inside Knockdown Center. It’s basically the perfect backup plan and one more reason this venue is a summer staple.

✨SummerStage in Central Park
How many cities can say they throw concerts in the middle of Central Park?
An absolute NYC icon and celebrating its 40th anniversary season, SummerStage has been delivering unforgettable performances for decades, and there’s something magical about dancing in the middle of Central Park surrounded by fellow music lovers. From Of the Trees and Jade Cicada to The Martinez Brothers and upcoming Dreamland Pride with Purple Disco Machine, SummerStage consistently puts together one of the best concert calendars in the city whether it’s house, electronic, hip-hop, or world music.
Why you need to go: An iconic NYC institution.
✨Superior Ingredients Rooftop
Located in the heart of Williamsburg, Superior Ingredients has become one of the quintessential summer dance destinations in NYC. Equal parts rooftop party and open-air club, it offers stunning Manhattan skyline views that somehow never get old, especially as golden hour fades into night and the city lights begin to sparkle.
One of my favorite details? The giant disco ball hanging above the dance floor! As the sun goes down and the lights come on, it transforms the entire rooftop into something magical.
What I love most about Superior Ingredients is its versatility. Whether you’re in the mood for proper house music from legends like Fedde Le Grand and EDX, harder techno sounds from artists like Lee Ann Roberts and Oguz, or iconic names like Laidback Luke, there’s always something happening. From daytime parties to sunset sessions into the night, the venue attracts a little bit of everything – and that’s part of its charm.
Why you need to go: Between the disco ball, the skyline views, and dancing from sunset into the night, Superior Ingredients captures everything we love about summer in New York.
✨Sunset Park Rooftop
If melodic house and progressive are more your speed, Sunset Park Rooftop should absolutely be on your radar.
Teksupport’s summer series has transformed the venue into one of the city’s premier destinations for melodic and progressive house. Artists like Beltran, Jeremy Olander, and Cristoph regularly take fans on all-night journeys with marathon open-to-close sets that go well into the morning. And for those who stay until the very end, there’s nothing quite like watching the sun rise over Manhattan after a night spent lost in the music.
Why you need to go: Melodic and progressive house heaven meets sunrise magic.
✨Industry City
Industry City has quietly become one of Brooklyn’s most underrated spots for outdoor music.
From day parties to special events, there’s something about the atmosphere that just screams summer. Between the string lights, open-air courtyards, food options, art and laid-back vibe, it feels like its own little neighborhood built around good music and good company.
I’ve already made it out there this season for the legendary Chase & Status, and it’s one of those places where time simply doesn’t exist. You arrive for an afternoon set, and before you know it, you’re wondering where the last six hours went.
While it may not have the massive production of Under the K or the underground feel of The Ruins, Industry City offers something equally special: a relaxed, community-driven atmosphere that perfectly captures summer in Brooklyn.
Why you need to go: Laidback vibes with art and food.
✨Westlight
Not every summer night needs to feel like a full-blown rave, and that’s where Westlight comes in.
Perched atop The William Vale in Williamsburg, Westlight boasts some of the most breathtaking views in New York, with panoramic vistas stretching from Brooklyn to the Manhattan skyline. While you won’t find massive productions or marathon sets here, think expertly crafted cocktails, beautiful sunsets, and laid-back house music that perfectly complements golden hour.
Whether you’re starting the night before heading to a show or simply looking for a more elevated evening with friends, Westlight strikes the perfect balance between rooftop lounge and music destination. Sometimes, the vibe is just as important as the lineup.

✨Bonus: Pacha NYC 👀
Arguably the biggest wildcard of the summer.
With the legendary Pacha brand making its return to New York following Avant Gardner’s…disappointment (to put it mildly), expectations are sky-high. Will it become the city’s next iconic venue? Time will tell, but every electronic music fan in NYC will be watching closely.
Why you need to go: …because you don’t want FOMO if this becomes the place to be.
Final Thoughts
New York summers are made for dancing outside.
From festival-sized productions under bridges to intimate courtyards, rooftop sunsets, and iconic concerts in Central Park, these are the venues I keep coming back to and the ones every electronic music fan should experience at least once this summer.
