Dancing Through Hulaween: Sets, Sound Baths, and Secret Stages πŸ‘»πŸ–€

Hulaween is unlike any festival I’ve ever experienced. It’s a whirlwind of music, art, and pure community energy. This year, some of my favorite sets included Parcels, Tape B, Mersiv, Sammy Virji, Disco Lines, Frank Moody, Distinct Motive, Zed’s Dead, and so many more. Each brought their own flavor, showing that Hulaween really has something for everyone, no matter your musical taste. From deep electronic grooves to funky jam bands, the mix of genres kept the energy high all weekend.

The festival grounds were just as impressive. Food and clothing options were on point, with everything from gourmet bites to unique festival threads. Water stations were always easy to find, making it simple and easy to stay hydrated. The DEF stage, which also doubled as the afters stage, was my personal highlight. The sound system was phenomenal, the pyro effects were incredible, and the secret sets created some unforgettable late night moments. The vibe there was electric.

The costumes at Hulaween deserve a special shout-out. Walking around felt like stepping into a living, breathing kaleidoscope of creativity – I saw so many costumes (solo and groups) that I wished I would have thought of that went with the festival’s themed days! And even the ones that didn’t still played into Hulaween’s Halloween magic.

Another personal fav was LSDream’s sound bath. Both soothing and energizing in the sunlight (which was a great contrast to the colder nights), it was the perfect reset in the middle of all the festival madness.

Camping is another part of the magic. It’s a free-for-all full of community spirit, where everyone embodies the true PLURR mentality by sharing, laughing, and celebrating together. I racked up A TON of unique trinkets and Kandy from all the take one leave one tables that were scattered around the campground. A stroll to the river on the property turned into a fun group activity in the daytime to soak up some sun before the cooler night crept in.

Spirit Lake was another standout, with incredible late-night shows and projection mapping that blew me and my friends away. Side quests like the Bird Houses, House of Lost, and the Tea House added fun little adventures that made the festival feel even more immersive.

I left Hulaween inspired, energized, and already planning my next trip. If you’re looking for a festival with top-tier music, mind-blowing visuals, and a community that truly cares, Hulaween is it.
