I’m not kidding when I say Breakaway Tampa might’ve been one of the most fun weekends we’ve had in Florida in a while. ☀️⚡🌴
The second we walked into Raymond James Stadium on Friday, you could already feel how good the energy was going to be all weekend. Everyone was SO excited to be there. Cute rave outfits everywhere, people already trading kandi before the first sets even started, groups taking photos in the sunset… it genuinely just felt like one of those weekends where everyone came ready to have a good time.
And the lineup absolutely delivered.
Dom Dolla was honestly one of my favorite sets of the weekend. The crowd energy during his set was unreal — every single person around us was dancing, screaming lyrics, jumping around, and fully locked in the entire time. It felt like one giant party. Chris Lorenzo and Cloonee also brought the perfect house music energy, especially as the sun started going down.
Then on the complete opposite side of the spectrum, NGHTMRE and Eptic absolutely destroyed the bass stage. I swear every time we walked over there it somehow got heavier. My neck genuinely still hurts.
One thing I really love about Breakaway festivals is that they somehow feel big without feeling overwhelming. You still get massive artists and production, but the festival itself feels super easy to navigate and honestly just really fun to exist at. It never feels stressful. We spent half the weekend bouncing between sets, running into friends, getting drinks, sitting in random corners recapping life, and somehow still making it to almost everyone we wanted to see.
Also… Tampa crowds are underrated. Florida people KNOW how to party. Everyone was so social all weekend. I lost count of how many random conversations we had with people complimenting outfits, trading trinkets, or hyping each other up during sets.
And the weather could not have been more perfect. Warm nights, stadium lights, palm trees, loud music, everyone sweaty and dancing for hours… it genuinely felt like the start of summer.
Overall, Breakaway Tampa just felt easy in the best way possible. Good music, good people, good energy, and one of those weekends you leave already wanting to run it back next year. 🌴✨
