There are festivals you attend for the lineup, and then there are festivals you attend for the entire experience. Secret Dreams falls firmly into both categories.
Hosted at The Cardinal Center, Secret Dreams is entering a new era after previously calling Legend Valley home. The change of venue brings a fresh backdrop for a festival that has built its identity around immersive art, late-night sets, artist collaborations, and a community of “homies, jammers, bass fiends, artists, art enthusiasts, nomads, and creatives.”
And yes, the lineup is absolutely stacked. Returning for its fifth year, Secret Dreams Music & Arts Festival is bringing its signature blend of bass, jam, electronic, live music, art, and community to a brand-new home in Marengo, Ohio, September 4–6, 2026. And if the lineup is any indication, this year’s edition is shaping up to be one of its biggest yet.
The Lineup Is a Bass Lover’s Dream
At the top of the bill are Pretty Lights, Of The Trees, and Tape B, with a massive supporting lineup that moves effortlessly between electronic, bass, jam, funk, hip-hop, and live instrumentation.
Pretty Lights is arguably one of the biggest draws of the weekend, returning to Secret Dreams for multiple sets. After the artist’s memorable appearances at the festival, the return feels especially fitting for a festival that has always embraced the intersection of electronic music and live musicianship.
Bass fans have plenty to look forward to as well, with Of The Trees, Detox Unit, INZO, Daily Bread, Wonky Llama, Mr. Bill, CloZee, Maddy O’Neal, Chmura, Thought Process, The Librarian, and more spread throughout the weekend.
But Secret Dreams is not a festival where you can simply pick a genre and stay there.
Jam and live music fans will have plenty to explore with artists including Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Lettuce, Dogs In A Pile, The Werks, Polyrhythmics, SunSquabi, lespecial, Dizgo, and Sneezy, while hip-hop and genre-bending performances from EARTHGANG and others add even more variety to the weekend.
There is also a particularly exciting debut happening this year: Wonky Llama, the collaboration between Jade Cicada and Schmoop, will make its festival debut.
Three Days, Three Stages, Endless Possibilities
Secret Dreams describes itself as a multi-genre music and arts festival, and the experience goes well beyond the main stage.
The festival will feature three unique stages, late-night performances, artist collaborations, live painters, yoga and workshops, interactive installations, food and craft vendors, and more.
For anyone who loves wandering around a festival and discovering something completely unexpected, this is where Secret Dreams really shines. You might head out looking for one set and end up spending an hour watching a live painter, stumbling into an interactive installation, or finding a new artist you didn’t have on your schedule.
The festival’s 2026 installation and activation programming is specifically designed around themes of space, time, and dreams, with interactive spaces, chill zones, viewing portals, games, scavenger hunts, and other immersive elements being encouraged for the new festival environment.
Basically: leave room in your schedule to get lost and explore. This festival has endless opportunities to have fun when you’re in between sets!
The New Home of Secret Dreams
One of the biggest changes for 2026 is the festival’s move to The Cardinal Center in Marengo, Ohio.
After several years at Legend Valley, Secret Dreams is starting a new chapter at the Cardinal Center. For returning attendees, that means getting to experience a familiar festival in an entirely new environment. For first-timers, there is no previous version to compare it to. This year’s festival is a fresh start for everyone.
The festival officially takes place Friday through Sunday, but the Dream begins a little earlier.
A Thursday, September 3 pre-party will feature artists including CloZee, Mickman, The Werks, Saturna, Skysia, and Yoko, giving early arrivals a chance to settle into the weekend before the official festival days kick off.
For those who want the full experience, early arrival begins Wednesday, September 2.
A Weekend Worth Getting Lost In
If you’re trying to decide which sets to prioritize, good luck.
Friday brings a particularly heavy bass-focused lineup, including Of The Trees, Detox Unit, Mr. Bill, Opiuo, Mickman, Emancipator, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Dogs In A Pile, The Sponges, Smigonaut, and more.
Saturday turns up the jam and funk energy while bringing back Pretty Lights for another round, alongside Daily Bread, EARTHGANG, Wonky Llama, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Come Back to Earth, Audio Goblin, Cualli, and an all:lo all-star performance featuring Parkbreezy, pheel., and Thought Process Live Band.
And then there’s Sunday.
The final day brings Pretty Lights, Tape B, Daily Bread, Gramatik, Allen Mock, Flamingosis, and a Philos B2B featuring Artifakts and Late Night Radio, among a long list of other artists.
In other words, don’t expect Sunday to be a casual wind-down. We’re dancing all night long!
Come for the Music, Stay for the Community
The Secret Dreams experience is intentionally bigger than its artist lineup.
