The Dinosaurs Are Calling: Lost Lands 2026

The Dinosaurs Are Calling: Lost Lands 2026

There are music festivals… and then there’s Lost Lands.

For years, I’ve watched the videos: thousands of headbangers packed into Legend Valley, dinosaurs casually hanging out between stages, lasers cutting through the night, and enough bass to make your phone camera completely useless.

This year, I finally get to experience it for myself.

Lost Lands 2026 will officially be my first Lost Lands, and saying I’m excited feels like a pretty massive understatement.

The Road to Legend Valley

One of my favorite parts about a camping festival is that the experience starts way before you ever hear the first set.

It starts with the group chats, the packing lists, figuring out how you’re somehow going to fit a week’s worth of camping gear into one vehicle with everyone else’s, and telling yourself for the fifth time that you definitely didn’t forget anything.

Then comes the drive.

There’s something about pulling into a festival campground and watching normal life slowly disappear behind you. Tents start going up. Music is already playing somewhere in the distance. Everyone is meeting their neighbors. And suddenly, for the next few days, this little temporary city becomes home.

But Lost Lands doesn’t exactly look like your average temporary city.

There are dinosaurs. A LOT OF THEM.

Like seriously, where does one even acquire THIS many dinosaurs?

Apparently, Excision knows a guy.

Lost Lands 2026 Lineup

Obviously, the production and atmosphere are a huge part of Lost Lands, but let’s be real, we’re most excited for the music.

The 2026 lineup is stacked, and one of the things I’m most excited about is finally getting to bounce around Legend Valley and experience how different each stage feels.

There are the massive sets you already know are going to have the entire crowd losing it, but I’m just as excited for the artists I haven’t planned for yet!

Some of my favorite festival memories have come from walking toward one stage, hearing something ridiculous coming from another, and immediately changing plans because the music is calling my SOUL.

That’s the beauty of a lineup this big.

You never know what youre going to be feeling in the moment!

One of my goals this year is to try to find this “RED DOOR” that everyone online talks about.

They say the best secret sets happen there, so that will be my sidequest mission for Lost Lands 2026.

Core Memories

The deeper I’ve gotten into festival culture, the more I’ve realized that my favorite memories aren’t always the moments I expected to be my favorites.

Sometimes it’s the huge closing set.

Other times it’s walking through the campground at 2 a.m., meeting a group of complete strangers, finding some random side quest, or laughing about something that would make absolutely no sense outside of a festival.

That’s what I’m looking forward to most about Lost Lands.

Of course I want the giant stages, insane production, lasers and bass.

But I also want everything in between.

The people. The campground. The outfits. The dinosaurs. The weird little moments you couldn’t possibly put on a schedule.

See You at Legend Valley 🦖

Going into a festival for the first time is always interesting because you really don’t know which moments are going to stick with you.

I have artists I can’t wait to see. Sets circled on my schedule. Stages I want to experience. And an unreasonable amount of dinosaur-related things I want to find.

But I’m trying not to plan every second of it.

I want to walk into Legend Valley, explore, meet people, follow the music and see where the weekend takes us.

Because from everything I’ve heard about Lost Lands, you can watch a thousand videos of it, sit and watch on Couch lands and still not really understand it until you’re there.

So that’s the plan.

Pack the bags. Make the drive. Find the dinosaurs. Find the Red Door

And finally find out what all the hype is about.

First Lost Lands starts now. 🦖🔊

See you in Legend Valley, headbangers!
