This past weekend on November 22 and 23, Relentless Beats introduced a brand-new festival, Better Together, and it certainly did not disappoint. They’re known for hosting iconic electronic dance music events in the Arizona area such as Decadence NYE Arizona.
Festival Setup
Something we noticed right off the bat that was different from other festival was the free parking! Most of the time this unheard of, but it was absolutely appreciated this past weekend. The festival featured one single stage within the warehouse at the event center, meaning you didn’t miss a moment of any of the amazing sets happening on stage. Since this was set up in a warehouse, doors remained opened allowing the cold air from the deserts outside to be let in. A highlight from the festival was the production. From the LED panels with cool visuals to the insane lasers when the DJ had their beat drops, the production was out of this world!
In addition to the stacked music, attendees were able to enjoy engaging activation booths from companies like Bang Energy, Kandi’s World, and BeatBox Beverages, which added an extra layer of fun for attendees to be a part in between sets over the weekend.
Day 1: Setting the Bar High
The first day set the tone with Neil Frances‘s Groovy DJ set, followed by Disclosure‘s DJ set, whose beats and stage energy captivated the crowd throughout their sets. Both acts had the audience on full crowd control, everyone was dancing the night away!
Day 2: Afro House and Fisher’s Grand Finale
Day two delivered a groundbreaking moment as Black Coffee brought Afro House to Chandler, Arizona for the very first time. The deep, soulful rhythms resonated with the crowd, and he switched up on the crowd by playing some funky classics such as “One More Time” by Daft Punk and “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor. The night concluded with the one and only Fisher, he closed out the festival in true warehouse fashion; he even ended his set with his iconic “Take It Off” track. His song selection was off the charts on Saturday night.
The Vibes: PLUR and VIP Experiences
The crowd embodied the rave standard PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect) vibes throughout the weekend, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. VIP attendees were able to enjoy a dedicated bar just for them and an elevated viewing area, allowing for an unbeatable view of the stage. It was great being able to view these sets from a more secluded and elevated angle.
