Super UnNatural Festival: Scottsdale’s Spooky Halloween Getaway Brings Tourists From All Over

Looking for a Halloween weekend destination that goes beyond trick-or-treat? Relentless Beats just hosted their annual Super UnNatural Festival, which intertwined electronic music with Halloween tricks and treats. This spooky EDM festival is quickly becoming a must-attend for Halloween enthusiasts and drew in dance lovers from around the Southwest.  If you’re looking for a fun travel destination and a Halloween festival, this is one event you need to put on your radar!

Super UnNatural Festival took over the WestWorld of Scottsdale, transforming the venue into a supernatural playground filled with lasers, sound systems, and the extravagant costumes. It’s not just about the music — it’s about the experience. With one stage and two days of live performances the best part was that you could see all of the headliners in one place.

After the festival, we kept the party going in Old Town Scottsdale, which honestly felt like a mini-Vegas. The whole strip was packed, and it was easy to hop from one bar or club to the next, each with its own unique vibe. My favorite after-party of the weekend had to be the official Chris Lake party at Maya. This venue is a pool day club by day, but at night they cover the pool and transform it into an open-air club. Old Town Scottsdale really knows how to keep the energy alive after the main event!

Let’s Talk About The Lineup

This year’s lineup was nothing short of legendary. Headliners ranging from Chris Lake, who brought his signature deep beats, to Eric Prydz whose iconic “Opus” electrified the crowd with his progressive sounds and hypnotic visuals.  The energy was wild when The Martinez Brothers went back-to-back with Mochakk — and it was their first ever b2b live. Fatboy Slim’s mix of classics and surprises kept us on our toes, and Lilly Palmer rounded it all out with a deep, pulsing techno vibe. The music was high energy, and the crowd was totally feeling it.

The festival ran for two nights, and each one had its own unique vibe. The entire place was decked out with Halloween-themed areas, trippy art installations, and people going all out with costumes. (Seriously, some people had outfits that looked like they came straight out of a movie!) Between the music, the visuals, and the people-watching, there was always something to do or see.

Why Scottsdale? The Perfect Balance Between Adventure and Fun

My favorite part about this trip was that not only did we get to experience the festival, but there is so much to do in Scottsdale. If you’ve never been to Scottsdale, fall is the best time to go. October days are warm and sunny, perfect for chilling by the pool before heading to the festival, and hitting the after-parties in Old Town Scottsdale. Old Town is its own little adventure with cool shops, art galleries, and delicious restaurants. We stopped at “The Breakfast Club” for brunch to fuel up for the festival. And, if you have the time, take a day to hike around the Sonoran Desert, which was so stunning—a perfect balance to the festival parties.

For me, Super UnNatural was more than just an EDM event; it was a Halloween weekend adventure with friends, great music, and a city that knows how to show people a good time. So if you’re already making plans for next Halloween, keep Scottsdale and Super UnNatural in mind. You won’t regret it.
